Onboarding & KYB Friction - Current Landscape
Curious if others are seeing an increased friction lately in the KYB process, especially with newer or more niche PSPs. It feels like the goalposts are constantly shifting, or perhaps more accurately, the requirements are becoming far more granular and often, frankly, redundant across multiple entities within a single onboarding flow. We're spending an inordinate amount of time on document procurement and internal reviews just to get a basic integration approved, sometimes with turnarounds stretching weeks for what used to be a matter of days. Is this a broader industry trend toward hyper-vigilance, or are we just picking the short straw with our current crop of providers? Any specific strategies folks are employing to streamline this without compromising compliance?
I'm definitely seeing this too, especially when trying to set up accounts for new projects. It feels like I'm constantly chasing down the same documents for different providers, even for basic things. Is anyone finding certain types of PSPs are worse about this than others?
