Traderforum is owned and operated by ENC DATA RESEARCH LTD. We are the data controller for personal data processed through this platform. See ownership for company details.
What we collect
- Account data — when you sign in (e.g. via Google), we receive your name, email and profile image, and store your username, display name, bio and language preference.
- Content you create — posts, comments, votes, predictions, watchlists, provider submissions, reviews, deals/RFPs and similar activity.
- Usage & device data — log data such as IP address, browser/user-agent, pages viewed and timestamps, used for security, abuse prevention and aggregate analytics.
- API & widget usage — when you create API keys or embed widgets, we record request metadata (key, endpoint, counts) to enforce rate limits and prevent misuse.
How we use it
- To provide and secure the platform, authenticate you, and operate community, marketplace and data features.
- To prevent spam, fraud and abuse, and to enforce our Terms of Service.
- To send service communications and, where you opt in, a periodic digest.
- To produce aggregate, non-identifying statistics (for example community sentiment) that may be shown publicly or via the API/widgets.
Public content
Posts, comments, votes, public profile fields and provider listings are visible to others and may be indexed by search engines and surfaced through our API and embeddable widgets. Do not post anything you wish to keep private.
Sharing & processors
We do not sell personal data. We share it with service providers who process it on our behalf — for example hosting, infrastructure, authentication and translation providers — under appropriate safeguards, and where required by law.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session integrity, and limited analytics to understand aggregate usage. You can control cookies through your browser.
Retention & your rights
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or export of your data, and may object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us via the contact page.
