Data & API Policy

Last updated: 24 June 2026

This policy explains what data Traderforum exposes through its API and embeddable widgets, how that data is produced, and the terms on which you may use it. It complements our

What the data is

Traderforum publishes aggregate, community-derived signals— sentiment, trending markets, prediction-event activity and credibility-weighted positioning (“smart money”). These are computed from user activity on the platform. They are not market price data, trade execution data, or investment advice, and must not be presented as such.

API access & keys

  • Access requires an API key. Keys can be scoped to specific endpoints and restricted to allowed origins.
  • Authenticate with Authorization: Bearer <key> or ?key=. See the Developer docs.
  • A free tier of 10,000 calls/month per key applies; higher limits are available to partners.
  • Auth-sensitive responses are not publicly cacheable; do not share keys client-side in untrusted contexts.

Acceptable use

  • Attribute Traderforum as the source where the data is displayed (“Source: traderforum.com”).
  • Do not present community signals as price data, regulated market data, or personalised advice.
  • Do not attempt to re-identify individual users from aggregate figures.
  • Do not exceed your rate limits, circumvent scope/origin restrictions, or resell raw access without a partnership agreement.
  • Respect robots.txt and our caching directives when crawling.

Embeddable widgets

Our iframe widgets (e.g. sentiment, smart money) may be embedded on third-party sites subject to this policy. Widgets display community signals only and link back to Traderforum. Unsupported or untracked symbols return an explicit “not tracked” state rather than fabricated neutral data.

Availability & changes

The API and widgets are provided on an as-is basis and may change or be rate-limited to protect platform stability. We will make reasonable efforts to version breaking changes and to notify active partners. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.

Privacy & security

Personal-data handling is governed by our Privacy Policy; vulnerability reporting is covered by our Security & Responsible Disclosure page. Commercial terms for higher-volume or white-label use are arranged via a partnership request.
