Thoughts on COMP OTM Puts and Current Vol

I'm looking at $COMP here, specifically the potential for OTM puts given the recent dip to 11.075 today. The move from ~11.75 down to that level, coupled with the overall market softness, makes me think there might be an opportunity for a quick volatility play if we see some further downside. Implied volatility for the nearer-term expirations has definitely perked up, which is interesting for selling credit spreads or potentially buying a cheap flyer further out if I'm betting on a continued leg lower. The risk, of course, is a bounce back above the previous support around 11.50, which would probably crush those premiums. I'd be watching 11.00 very closely for any hold or break. If it breaks decisively, then my thesis gains traction; if it holds and we rebound, then this setup gets invalidated pretty quickly.

GOOG: Monitoring the 354-355 level for a bounce

Been watching $GOOG pretty closely today. We touched the 354.7 intraday low, which is right around a prior support level I've marked out from last week's consolidation. It bounced a bit, now trading at 358.71, but the volume on the bounce isn't exactly screaming conviction. I'm thinking if it holds above 354, we could see a retest of the 360-362 area. However, a clean break and close below 354, especially on higher volume, would invalidate that scenario for me pretty quickly and suggest more downside is probable. I'm not opening anything right now, just observing how it reacts to this level into the close.

Watching EMQQ at this level

Been keeping an eye on $EMQQ today, seeing it nudge up to that 32.7 mark. It's an interesting spot. I'm noting the day's high around 32.835, which suggests a bit of overhead resistance still lingering. If we can get a sustained push above that 32.85-32.90 area and hold it, it could signal some positive momentum building.

Conversely, a failure to break cleanly above 32.835 and a retreat back towards the mid-32s would make me cautious. The risk scenario here, for me, would be a close below 32.50, which would invalidate any potential short-term bullish thesis I'm considering. Just sharing my current thinking, always open to other perspectives.

$ABC - Watching the 180 Level After Recent Pullback

Been keeping an eye on $ABC the past couple of sessions. It's dipped a bit, now trading around 179.98. What's catching my attention is how it's testing that prior resistance around the 180 mark, which briefly broke last week before this small pullback. From a technical perspective, if it can consolidate above 180 and build some support there, it could signal a potential continuation of the earlier move up. However, a decisive break back below the 179.20-179.50 range, especially on higher volume, would pretty much invalidate that short-term idea for me, suggesting the prior breakout might have been a false one, or at least needs more time to re-establish a base.

Watching $BOTZ for a move above 36.00

I'm keeping an eye on $BOTZ here. It's been hovering around the 36.00 mark, which has acted as a bit of a resistance point recently, peaking at 36.025 earlier today. If we can get a sustained push above that level, especially with some volume behind it, I think there's potential for a move higher. The invalidation for this idea, for me, would be a clear rejection and close below today's low of 35.555.

$FTSE Daily Chart: Watching 10730 Resistance Closely

Hey everyone,

I've been keeping a close eye on the $FTSE daily chart, and it's looking interesting around these levels. Today's high of 10732.95 seems to have run right into that 10730ish resistance that's been in play for a bit now. We've seen a couple of rejections around that zone previously, and it feels like a pretty key area buyers need to push through for any sustained move higher.

My concern is if we see a clear rejection from here, especially if we close the day back towards the lower end of the current range, it could signal a double top or at least a temporary pullback. The risk for this scenario would obviously be a decisive break and close above 10730, particularly if accompanied by decent volume. If that happens, then my current thinking about resistance would be invalidated, and we'd likely be looking at the next set of potential upside targets. Just curious what others are seeing on the $FTSE? Is anyone watching other indicators that confirm or contradict this resistance idea?

$AAVE's recent push and potential resistance

Seeing $AAVE up around 5% today, currently at 94.03. It's pushing against that 96-97 area that's been a tough ceiling recently, recall the rejection earlier this week. If it can actually hold above that, perhaps a retest of the low 100s isn't out of the question, but I'm looking at how it performs into the close.

Risk, of course, is if this move fades and we get another rejection from 96. If it slips back below 90 convincingly, then this entire bounce might just be a higher low forming for another leg down. Keeping an eye on volume as well; this push needs some substance behind it.

Thoughts on $CL and the 68.00-68.20 area

Been watching crude ($CL) pretty closely over the last few sessions, and that 68.00-68.20 zone is looking pivotal, or at least it feels like it. We've seen it act as support and resistance a few times now on the daily. Today's early action bouncing off 68.17 (current is 68.45) again reinforces that it's a level people are paying attention to.

My take is that a sustained break below 68.00 on a daily close would open up some downside toward the low 60s pretty quickly. On the flip side, holding this area and getting a push back over 69.00-69.15 (today's high 69.15) could see us retest 70 and potentially higher. The risk here, as always, is that geopolitical noise or an unexpected inventory report just blows through technicals. So, while I'm watching this range, I'm not getting too comfortable either way until we see some clear conviction break. The options market seems a bit muted on vol, which suggests many are waiting for a catalyst.

BRENT approaching a decision point, watching 72.50

It looks like $BRENT is getting close to testing that 72.50 area again, which has been a pretty sticky resistance level for a while. If it breaks clean above that, we could see a push higher, but if it gets rejected there again, especially with volume, I'd expect it to retest the 71.00 region. The risk for me is if it just punches through 72.50 without much hesitation, then my short-term bearish view around that level is invalidated.

BRLUSD - That 0.1935 Resistance Zone Is Still Holding Strong

Been watching $BRLUSD for a while, and that 0.1935 level really seems to be the line in the sand. Every time it gets there, it just gets knocked back. I’ve seen a few attempts to break through, even today, touching 0.19353, but it just can't seem to hold above it. To me, it still looks like a pretty solid resistance zone, and until we see a convincing close above it, I'm leaning towards the idea that it'll continue to reject that level. The invalidation for this idea, of course, would be a strong daily close above 0.1935, which would then suggest a potential shift in momentum. Options-wise, if you're playing the short side, that's where your risk needs to be managed. Otherwise, we're just bouncing around the same old floor, waiting for something to give.

Watching $ZARJPY at the high end of its range

Been keeping an eye on $ZARJPY today. We're currently trading around 9.945, right at the top of the day's range of 9.871–9.95. It's approaching a level that has historically offered some resistance, and I'm curious if we'll see a break or a rejection here. A sustained push above 9.95 could signal further upside, but a failure to hold this level could see a pullback towards the mid-range. For now, I'm just watching for conviction one way or another.

My primary concern would be a decisive close above the daily high, which would invalidate the current range-bound sentiment I'm observing and likely open the door to new highs. Conversely, a sharp reversal from here, especially if accompanied by increased volume, would suggest that the resistance is holding firm.

Watching $XYZ Around $77.66 for a Breakout

Been keeping an eye on $XYZ today, particularly the $77.66 level. It touched that earlier as a low and bounced pretty hard, now up to $78.83. I'm wondering if a retest and hold there could signal some strength for a potential move higher, maybe back towards that $81.04 daily high. The risk, of course, is a clear break below $77.66 which would invalidate the idea for me and suggest more downside.

Looking at the $EURGBP resistance at 0.8574

I'm watching the $EURGBP pair today, it seems to be bumping right up against that 0.8574 level, which was yesterday's high. I'm wondering if we'll see some resistance there again or if there's enough momentum to push through. My concern is that a clear break and hold above 0.8575 could open the door for a quick move higher, invalidating the current short-term resistance scenario I'm considering. Any thoughts on how that upper band around 0.8574 might play out?

Thoughts on $BAC and a potential setup

Been watching $BAC quite closely, it's currently at 58.73, up a bit today. What's catching my eye is how it's been reacting to the 59 area. It touched 59 today and retreated slightly, which feels like a pretty strong short-term resistance point. If we see a solid close above 59 in the next few sessions, especially on decent volume, I'd consider that a break of a key level that could open up a move higher.

On the flip side, a failure to break above 59, combined with a dip back below say, 58.00, would suggest the range holds, and perhaps even a retest of the lower part of its recent channel around 57.94. The risk to that bullish scenario of breaking 59 is clearly if it consolidates below and then heads south.

Watching $BRENT at current levels

Been keeping an eye on $BRENT futures today. It's consolidating around that 71.94 mark, having tested the 72.49 intraday high earlier. From a TA perspective, I'm watching to see if it can establish firm support above 72.00 on a closing basis. Failure to hold this level, particularly a drop back towards yesterday's close around 71.32, would invalidate the bullish short-term momentum I'm seeing for a potential move higher next week. The intraday low of 71.32 is my line in the sand.

GBP/JPY - Watching the 0.81300 Support

Been keeping an eye on $GBP lately, specifically against $JPY. It's interesting to see it dipping back towards that 0.81300 area today after that strong move yesterday. We saw it bounce from there during the day, suggesting some underlying demand at that level. If it holds, I'd be looking for a potential retest of the higher resistance around 0.82000. The risk that invalidates this would be a clear break and sustained close below 0.81300, which would open up further downside potentially. Just my current read on it, things can change quickly.

Watching TCEHY Around the 55 Mark - A Brief Look

Been keeping an eye on $TCEHY today, and that 55.00-55.30 zone seems to be acting as a bit of a magnet. We saw it dip to 54.84 earlier and rebound, and it's currently trading around 55.35. If it can hold above 55.00 on any further intraday tests, it might suggest some underlying support building. I'm looking at potential plays involving a synthetic long if it consolidates, but the primary risk here, of course, is a definitive break below 54.80, which would pretty much invalidate that short-term support idea for me.

$WETH: Monitoring the 1.20 Resistance for Potential Breakout

Been watching $WETH pretty closely today, especially with the move up to 1.21. The 1.20 level is feeling like a pretty significant area of resistance right now. We've tapped it a few times in the past couple of weeks and bounced. Today's push is interesting because the daily candle is showing some conviction. If we can get a sustained close above 1.20, I'd be looking for a potential continuation higher.

However, the flip side is if this move is rejected hard from here, maybe a close back down towards 1.18 or below, then this could just be another false breakout attempt. My invalidated scenario would be a clear rejection and failure to hold above 1.20 by end of day. Volume on this push is decent, but not screaming, so need to be careful not to get faked out.

Thoughts on $UNI and the $3.20 Level

Been watching $UNI with some interest today, specifically that move up to $3.197. It's been a pretty strong run, clearly outpacing $WETH, and honestly, it looks like it's challenging a level where it's found some resistance in the past. My take is that while the momentum is strong, breaking cleanly above $3.20-$3.25 is going to be crucial. If it stalls out around here and fails to hold that level, especially if we see some profit-taking into the close, then we could easily see it retrace back towards the prior daily open. It's not a prediction, just observing that significant buying volume at this resistance point often needs follow-through, and a failure to do so could lead to a quick unwinding. Still, a decent day for the hodlers.

$WETH showing interesting consolidation around 1.20, thoughts on next move?

Been watching $WETH this past day, and it's really settled in around that 1.20-1.21 area after the push. We saw it bounce hard off 1.12 earlier, which feels like decent support for now, but a retrace below that 1.12 level would definitely make me question the current bullish momentum. I'm curious what others are seeing in terms of implied vol and potential scenarios playing out from here, especially with the tighter range forming.

GBP/EUR – Watching the 0.813 level for a potential bounce or break

Morning everyone,

I've been keeping a close eye on $GBP (specifically $EURGBP) over the last couple of sessions. We're currently sitting around 0.81345, which has been a pretty sticky area historically. Looking at the daily chart, it seems like we've tested this zone multiple times in the past, finding some support there before bouncing. However, the last few candles show a bit of selling pressure pushing us towards it again. The day's range has been 0.813-0.82356, so we're at the lower end of that today, indicating weakness.

My current thinking is that if 0.813 holds as support, we could see a relief bounce, perhaps back towards the 0.82 level. However, if we get a decisive break below 0.813 on decent volume, particularly if we close significantly lower for the day, then it could open the door for a move down to the next historical support around 0.805. The risk to that scenario, of course, is a quick reversal back above 0.813. It's not a strong directional setup for me yet, more of a wait-and-see as we approach a key inflection point.

Thoughts on SPY and the 745.40 Level

Hey everyone,

I've been watching $SPY pretty closely today, and that 745.40 level is really sticking out to me. We bounced off it earlier and it felt like a decent support test, but the lack of strong follow-through on the rebound has me a bit cautious. It seems to be holding for now, but the overall momentum just isn't there to give me much confidence for a sustained move higher from here without a fresh catalyst.

My thinking is that if we see a decisive break below 745.40 on any decent volume, that could open up a test of lower levels pretty quickly. On the flip side, if we can find some real buying interest and push convincingly past, say, the 748-749 area, then maybe we can talk about reclaiming the daily high of 751.31. For now, it feels like a pretty key inflection point. I'm mainly looking at how options open interest is shifting around these levels for directional cues. What are your thoughts on SPY's action today and this 745.40 price point?

Thoughts on $SPX500 and implied volatility ahead of next week

Been watching $SPX500 movement closely. We've seen a pretty consistent upward push, but it feels like we're nearing some critical levels that might give the options market a shake. The current daily range between 7449.63 and 7521.81 is interesting, right around the 7505.19 mark. My sense is that if we can hold above 7480, we could see a continued grind towards 7550 or even 7600 relatively soon, which would likely start to compress some of the front-month calls. That said, I'm keeping an eye on the 7450 level. A decisive break below that, especially if it happens with conviction on higher volume, would likely invalidate the current bullish momentum and could open the door for a quick retest of the 7400 area. That kind of move would naturally spike IV across the board, making buying puts a lot more expensive and potentially offering opportunities for credit spreads on the short side. It's all about how much steam is left in this current leg up and what the underlying VIX structure looks like by Monday. Always gotta consider the fat tail risk; a sharp unexpected move in either direction could make a lot of currently profitable strategies turn sour quickly. The $XYZ stock, at 77.285, up 1.69% today, seems to be holding its own, but its movements are less correlated to the broader index for options purposes right now, for me at least.

Thoughts on $GBPJPY and potential resistance

Been watching $GBPJPY closely lately, and it's certainly had a decent run. Today's high touched 215.658, and it's now hovering around 215.429. I'm wondering if we're hitting a pretty significant resistance area here, around the 215.70-216.00 zone. Historically, there's been some chunky selling interest there, and the daily candles suggest price action is getting a bit stretched. If it breaks decisively above 216.00 and holds, my thesis is probably wrong, and we could see a push towards 217.50, but for now, I'm leaning towards a potential pullback or consolidation from current levels. Just my initial thoughts, keen to hear what others are seeing.

$THB volatility compression and potential breakout

Watching $THB closely today. The daily range has compressed significantly, trading within 34.66 and 35.01 for much of the session, much tighter than recent weeks. This kind of price action often precedes a larger move, and I'm looking at potential breakout scenarios. My thesis would be invalidated if we close above 35.20 or below 34.50, suggesting a continuation of the current range or a fakeout. Could be an interesting setup for strangles or iron condors if implied volatility picks up on a break.

AMD's run into resistance: looking at implied vol

Watching $AMD's move today, pretty impressive push, hitting close to 584.73 earlier. It's now sitting around 580.91. That's a good chunk of change in one session. My concern here isn't the momentum itself, but the level it's pushing into. We're right up against that prior daily high from a few weeks back. It feels like a key resistance zone.

What I'm curious about now is how implied volatility is reacting at these levels. If we see IV start to compress even with this upward move, it suggests a potential exhaustion or at least a lack of conviction from the options market that this rally has much more juice without a pullback. If it stays elevated, or even spikes higher, then there's still a belief in big moves, up or down. A failed break above 585 with a drop in IV would be a strong signal for me to reconsider long positions or look for short opportunities with defined risk. The risk to this thesis, obviously, is a clean break above 585 on significant volume, in which case this resistance zone just becomes support, and we look for the next leg up.

$AUDNZD: Watching the 1.2155 Support

I'm keeping a close eye on $AUDNZD here. It's dipped to 1.21558 today, testing that previous support. If it breaks convincingly below 1.2155, then I'd expect further downside, potentially invalidating the recent bullish structure I was observing. The risk is that it holds and bounces, in which case I'll be rethinking the short-term outlook.
