Watching XAUUSD at 1900, but the real test is higher

It's interesting to see XAUUSD trying to hold 1900 again. I'm personally not convinced this is the bottom for a sustained move, as the real resistance in my mind sits closer to 1925-1930. A clean break and hold above that region would shift my view, otherwise, I suspect we might just be setting up for another retest of the lower 1880s. Of course, if we suddenly see $BAC tanking, all bets are off for every asset.

Still watching XAUUSD's 2000-2010 range, again

It feels like I've been saying this for months, but XAUUSD continues to be a tricky beast, respecting that psychological 2000-2010 area as some kind of gravitational pull. Every time we poke above it, there's a swift rejection. Every time we dip below, it seems to snap back. This isn't just me seeing things; the daily candles are painting a pretty clear picture of indecision around that zone. I'm not talking about some grand conspiracy, just the market's collective memory of what feels 'right' for now.

My current scenario, for what it's worth, is a continued consolidation within a broader range, with that 2000-2010 area acting as a pivot. I'd need to see a convincing daily close – and by convincing, I mean more than a whisker – above, say, 2025 or below 1985 to really change my tune. Anything within that wider channel just feels like more of the same grind. The risk to this view, obviously, is a significant break of either of those levels on sustained volume. A clear break and hold above 2025 opens up the path towards 2050+, while a solid break below 1985 suggests a deeper test of the 1950s. Until then, it's a patience game, watching for the market to decide if it wants to go anywhere with conviction. Trading this range has been less like a sprint and more like a very slow, slightly aggravating marathon.

XAUUSD - Thoughts on the 2350 region

Been watching XAUUSD pretty closely lately. That 2350 area seems to be a sticky point, acting as a clear resistance in recent sessions after failing to push through on a few attempts. I'm seeing it as a crucial line in the sand; a sustained break above 2350, especially on higher volume, would invalidate my current view of a potential retest of 2320. On the flip side, continued rejections here could easily send us back to the 2320-2315 range, which has shown some support previously. It's a tight spot, but the market's reaction to 2350 will likely dictate the next move.

XAUUSD stuck in the mud at 2300, watching 2280 support

It feels like $XAUUSD is just bouncing around 2300, not really committing to anything. I'm keeping an eye on that 2280 level; if it breaks there, we could see a quick retest of the low 2200s, maybe even 2250. My current thinking is we're consolidating after that strong run, but a firm break above 2330 with some follow-through would invalidate that bearish short-term view for me and signal another push higher.

Watching XAUUSD at $2300, is it support or just a pitstop?

I'm still relatively new to the gold market, and I've been watching $XAUUSD closely. That $2300 level seems to be acting as some sort of magnet lately, with price bouncing off it a few times. I'm trying to figure out if it's a solid support zone building up, or if it's just a temporary pause before a deeper correction. My understanding is if it decisively breaks below that level, say a daily close under $2280, then the bullish scenario for now is likely invalid.

XAUUSD - Watching that 2300 level again

Been eyeing $XAUUSD for a bit now, and it's starting to feel like we're settling into a bit of a range here. Specifically, that 2300 level seems to be a real magnet. We've seen it act as support, then resistance, then support again, almost like a game of whack-a-mole. My read right now is that as long as we stay above say, 2280 on a daily close, the bulls still have a decent shot at pushing back towards 2350 or even 2380. The flip side, of course, is if we get a decisive break and hold below 2280. That would probably invalidate the current mini-consolidation and could open the door for a retest of 2250, or worse, put a proper dent in the recent upward momentum. Just my two cents, and as always, the market's got a habit of doing what it wants, regardless of what I think.

XAUUSD - Watching for a break or retest of 2300

Been looking at Gold $XAUUSD this week and that 2300 level is really standing out. We've seen it act as pretty strong support on a few occasions recently, bouncing off it fairly decisively. The alternative scenario I'm considering is if we get a sustained break below 2300, particularly if accompanied by increasing volume. That would invalidate the current bullish structure I'm seeing on the hourly and daily charts and could open up a move towards the 2260-2270 area fairly quickly. For now, I'm watching how price interacts with 2300 over the next 24-48 hours. A solid retest and hold there would be interesting, otherwise a clean break beneath changes the picture for me.

XAUUSD - Thoughts on the 1900 level

Been watching gold with a wary eye lately. That 1900 level on XAUUSD, for me, is starting to feel less like a strong support and more like a magnet it keeps testing before bouncing a bit. The daily closes below it haven't been convincing, but the repeated visits are wearing thin on my conviction for a sustained rally anytime soon. If we get a clean daily close and continuation below, say, 1890, then I'd have to seriously re-evaluate any bullish leanings and consider that the downside has much more room to play. I'm not calling for a disaster, but the relentless pressure on what was a significant psychological barrier is making me think a deeper correction might be on the cards before any serious uptrend can establish itself. Just my two cents, and I've been wrong before, of course.

Gold pushing 2300, watching for what's next

Hey everyone,

Been keeping a close eye on $XAUUSD lately. We've seen a pretty strong move up, and it's starting to really test that 2300 area. For me, that's a significant psychological and technical level. On the daily, we've had a few touches now, and while it's holding up well, you do have to wonder how much more momentum is left in the immediate term without a bit of a retest. I'm not calling for a massive reversal, but a bit of a breather here wouldn't surprise me. The real risk for my current thinking on a short-term consolidation or slight pullback would be a clean, convincing break and hold above 2310-2315 on a daily close. If we get that, then the path of least resistance probably continues higher, and I'd need to re-evaluate.

XAUUSD - Not quite out of the woods, 2300 a key level

Been watching gold closely this week, and while we've seen some recovery from the recent dip, I'm not convinced we're clear for a sustained push higher just yet. We've managed to hold above 2300 for the most part, which is certainly a positive sign after the volatility. However, the rallies feel a bit anemic, and each attempt to break significantly higher seems to run into selling pressure.

From a technical standpoint, the area around 2300-2310 is crucial. If we can build a solid base here and perhaps consolidate a bit, it would suggest renewed buying interest. But a clear break and sustained close below 2300, especially if it happens with conviction, would put the downside back into play for me. My concern then would be a retest of the lower 2200s, or potentially even further if sentiment shifts drastically. The broader market sentiment, especially with central bank rhetoric and any surprises from inflation data, will undoubtedly continue to heavily influence this. It's a tricky market to navigate, and while the long-term bullish case for gold might still be intact, the short-term picture looks a bit more ambiguous right now.

XAUUSD - Not quite the golden breakout yet, is it?

Been watching $XAUUSD with a hawk's eye, and while the sentiment feels bullish across the board, that 2075-2080 level is proving to be a stubborn brick wall. We’ve bumped our head there a few times now, and each rejection, even a small one, adds a bit more credence to it as a resistance zone. My eyes are on whether we can actually get a convincing daily close above 2080 – not just a spike. Without that, I'm thinking we're still ranging, perhaps looking at a retest of the 2030-2040 area. The risk here, for any immediate bullish thesis, is a solid break below 2030. That would invalidate the current higher-low structure we've been building and likely send us looking for support closer to 2000. It's always fun watching gold, the ultimate drama queen of the markets.

2

XAUUSD approaching a familiar confluence

Watching $XAUUSD closely here. We're nudging a significant resistance zone around 1980-1985 again. This level has been a sticking point multiple times over the past few months, marked by both horizontal resistance and what appears to be a descending trendline from the late-2023 highs. A clean break and hold above 1985, ideally on decent volume, would shift my bias considerably towards a retest of 2000+. However, a rejection from this zone, especially if accompanied by a strong move back towards 1960, would suggest further consolidation or a deeper pullback is on the cards. The risk, for me, is if we breach 1985 only to fail swiftly, trapping early long entries.

XAUUSD approaching a retest of 2300

Watching XAUUSD closely here. We've seen a pretty aggressive move down over the past week or so, and it looks like we're heading back to test that 2300 level again. It held as decent support on the previous dip, and a bounce from there would align with the broader bullish structure if it holds. I'm looking for some consolidation or a clear rejection of lower prices around that zone. Failure to hold 2300 convincingly, perhaps a daily close below 2290, would obviously invalidate that short-term support idea and suggest a deeper correction could be in the cards, potentially back towards 2250.

Gold's Stubborn Range – What Gives?

Anyone else feeling a bit like a broken record watching $XAUUSD? We've been ping-ponging between 2300 and 2350 with remarkable consistency for what feels like an eternity in market time. I mean, you could set your watch by it, if your watch was stuck in a five-day loop.

From a technical perspective, it's a grind. We've got pretty clear resistance forming around 2350-2360 – every probe up there gets swatted down with surprising alacrity. On the flip side, the 2300-2305 area is proving to be a pretty sturdy floor. Each dip into that zone seems to find buyers ready to step in. My current thinking is that we're consolidating after the last leg up, possibly waiting for a new catalyst. The risk to this range-bound view, obviously, is a decisive close and continuation above 2360 or below 2300. A strong break either way would probably signal the next meaningful move, and frankly, I'm ready for it. This chop is getting old.

Watching XAUUSD around $1940 - $1950

Hey everyone,

Been keeping a close eye on XAUUSD recently, and I'm seeing a pretty interesting setup around the $1940-$1950 area. We've had a decent rally, but this zone has acted as some pretty strong resistance in the past. If we look back, it's where a couple of significant moves have been rejected, and it also lines up with a key Fibonacci retracement level from the previous swing high. I'm thinking we could see some selling pressure step in if we manage to push up into that range again. The general macro picture, with the dollar showing a bit of strength at 92.56, also suggests gold might struggle to break out convincingly just yet.

Of course, the invalidate for this scenario would be a clear break above $1955 on a daily close. If we get a strong candle pushing and holding above that, it would suggest the bulls are firmly in control and this old resistance has become new support. Anything could happen though; we saw how quickly things can pivot. Just my two cents on what I'm watching. Curious if anyone else is seeing similar things or has a different read?

1

XAUUSD - Watching that 2300-2310 zone closely

Been following XAUUSD here for a bit, and that 2300-2310 area is really standing out to me. We've seen some decent bounces off it recently, and it's looking like a pretty significant psychological and technical level. On the daily, there's a confluence of previous support/resistance, and it seems to be holding as a key pivot. The market feels a bit on edge with the moves in equities ($SPX500 and even $JP225 showing some choppiness) and the broader economic picture still very much up in the air.

My take is that a clean break and sustained close below 2300 could open the door for a deeper correction, potentially towards the 2250-2260 area. Conversely, if it can continue to hold and build a base there, we might see it make another run towards previous highs. The risk for my read here is a sudden, sharp move in bond yields or a significant shift in central bank rhetoric that catches the market off guard. Always got to be mindful that even the best-looking levels can be invalidated quickly in this environment.

XAUUSD - Thoughts on the 2300 level

Been watching gold closely this past week, particularly around that $2300 level. It's proving to be a real sticky area, almost acting like a magnet after that recent push higher. On the daily, we've had a few tests there, and while it's held as support for now, the bounce hasn't exactly been convincing. Looks like sellers are stepping in pretty aggressively on any push towards 2330-2340.

My take is if we see a sustained break and close below 2300, say two daily closes under it, then the near-term bullish structure gets seriously challenged. That would open up a retest of 2260, possibly even lower. The risk for this scenario being wrong is a strong move back above 2350 with some volume, which would indicate buyers are firmly back in control and likely targeting new highs. For now, it feels like a bit of a coil here, waiting for a catalyst.

BAX Holding Above 21.20

Been watching $BAX closely since its recent bounce. The 21.20 area seems to be holding as decent support after that little dip. If it can maintain this level, particularly with the day range holding between 21.235 and 21.7277, we might see it attempt to test higher resistance. My concern would be a decisive break below 21.00; that would invalidate this current setup for me and suggest further downside is more likely. Not calling a long here, just observing the reaction around this pivot.

It's been a choppy few weeks for a lot of these industrial plays. BAX is up today, but that's after a decent sell-off from its highs. A lot of this hinges on broader market sentiment, of course, but technically, that 21.20-21.00 zone is the line in the sand. Fail there, and it's probably back to re-evaluate.

Gold's interesting setup around $2300

Been watching $XAUUSD with a bit of a squint lately, and it feels like we're in a critical area. That $2300 level has acted as pretty strong support on a few occasions recently, almost like a floor. What I'm seeing is a potential for a bounce here, especially if we can get a sustained move back above $2310. The risk that invalidates this view, for me, is a clear break and hold below $2290. If we start closing daily candles under that, then the path of least resistance would likely shift to further downside, maybe testing the $2270 area next. Just my two cents looking at the charts.

XAUUSD stuck in the mud at 2300

It's been a frustrating few days watching gold. We're clearly battling around the $2300 level. The rallies just can't seem to hold, and while dips are getting bought, there's no real conviction on either side. My gut says if we close below $2280 on a daily, the downside momentum could really pick up, potentially pushing us toward $2250, maybe even $2220 pretty quickly. Conversely, a strong break and hold above $2320 would shift my short-term bias. For now, it's a chop-fest.

XAUUSD - Watching 2300-2310 for reaction

Pretty clear to see XAUUSD has been getting smacked around a bit this past week. The run up was impressive, but frankly, overdone without any significant retrace. Now we're seeing some of that digestion.

I'm keeping a very close eye on the 2300-2310 area. For me, that's a critical zone. It was a pretty strong support level on the way up, and if we get a decisive break and hold below it, especially on daily closes, then I think we could see a quick move down towards the 2250-2260 region. That would be a significant shift in the short-term structure. On the flip side, if it manages to bounce hard from that 2300-2310 zone, we could be looking at a retest of 2350 relatively quickly. Right now, it's just chopping, but that key level will dictate the next move for me. Just my two cents, obviously, anything can happen.

Gold's Stubborn Resistance at $2350, A Range Play?

Anyone else finding $XAUUSD a particularly uncooperative beast around the $2350 mark lately? It feels like we've tested that level multiple times over the last week or two, and each time it just knocks its head and retreats. It's not a hard rejection, more of a polite, firm 'no thank you' each time. My charts are showing a pretty clear range developing between, let's say, $2310 on the downside and $2350 on the upside. It's almost too neat, which always makes me a little suspicious.

I'm watching for a convincing break of either of those boundaries to signal the next move. A sustained close above $2355 or so would, for me, invalidate the range-bound thesis and suggest a push towards $2370-$2380. On the flip side, a clear break below $2305 would likely see us testing the $2280s. Until then, it's a bit of a grind, isn't it? Patience is a virtue, they say, and right now, it's also a necessity if you're looking at gold.

XAUUSD - Watching $2300 Break

Been closely tracking XAUUSD over the past few sessions. The $2300 level has become a real battleground. We've seen multiple rejections from just above there, suggesting some strong supply coming in. Conversely, dips are still being bought relatively quickly, keeping us range-bound for now.

My take is that a sustained break and hold above $2300 on a daily close would be a significant bullish development, potentially opening the door to $2350 and beyond. On the flip side, a clear break below $2280 – say, a daily close – would likely invalidate this current consolidation and could see us test the low $2200s again. Just my thoughts, watching price action unfold.
