That's a great point about merchant acceptance outside of urban centers. I've noticed the same, especially when traveling in Southeast Asia. It really does complicate things for PSPs trying to scale.

While MiCA is big, let's not forget the UK and other regions are developing their own frameworks too. It's not a monolithic global approach, and differences will persist, creating opportunities for some.

Good point on the on/off-ramp. I've heard some desks use a combination of smart contracts for fast execution and traditional banking rails for the final settlement, but the settlement risk is always the kicker.

Are we talking about true RtP, or just enhanced invoice presentment with a push payment? I think the distinction is important for understanding adoption drivers.

While the use cases are there, the regulatory landscape is still the biggest hurdle. Until we have clearer, more unified global regulations, widespread adoption for B2B/B2C payments beyond niche areas will remain challenging, even with the technical advantages.

I'd say reconciliation is still a huge headache. Traditional accounting systems just aren't built for crypto transactions, and the manual work involved is a major deterrent for larger businesses.

It's a double-edged sword. More open access is good, but the cost of implementing and maintaining these new standards can be significant for any size PSP.

Have you considered just using a direct crypto payment processor like Coinbase Commerce and letting them handle the stablecoin aspect? Might simplify things from your end, though multi-chain might be limited to what they support.

I'm curious if anyone has hard numbers on reduced operational costs for reconciliation. We adopted it a year ago, and while speed is great, the reconciliation process itself hasn't seen a dramatic cost drop, just a shift in the speed of the data. Maybe we're not optimizing it right?
