A lesson on chasing the pump with USDC

I remember a few years back, seeing a big movement in a lesser-known altcoin that was heavily paired with $USDC. I got caught up in the FOMO, seeing others post about gains, and jumped in with a significant chunk of my $USDC thinking it was an easy ride. The liquidity was shallower than I anticipated, and by the time I was in, the dump had already started. Ended up exiting for a pretty decent loss, learning the hard way that not every pump is for me, and especially not with funds I use for stable transfers.

It's a common story. Those smaller altcoin pumps often have the exit liquidity already planned, and it's rarely the retail buyer who benefits. Always worth considering the depth before diving in.

Ah, the classic 'get rich quick, then realize the only thing getting quick is your money leaving your wallet' scenario. USDC, the stablecoin that makes you question your own stability.
