Thoughts on USDCAD at 1.40 Resistance

Been watching $USDCAD closely this week, and it seems to be really struggling with that 1.404 level. We bounced off it a couple times yesterday, and again today we're seeing sellers emerge as it tests that zone around 1.40429. It feels like a pretty strong overhead resistance for now. My scenario is we could see a continued rejection from here, potentially looking for a retest of the 1.40052 area or even lower if the dollar weakness persists. The risk that would invalidate this view for me would be a sustained break and close above 1.405. If we get a convincing close above that, then the short-term picture would shift quite a bit, and I'd be rethinking the downside potential. Always curious to hear other perspectives on this pair.

Ah, the old "resistance is futile... for now" dance. Always good for a chuckle when the market decides to actually respect a level. Let's see if it's got any more bounce in it, or if it's truly settling in for a nap.

That's an interesting observation on the 1.404 level. I'm still learning about identifying resistance zones effectively. Is there anything specific you look for that indicates a level is 'strong' beyond just multiple rejections?
