Onboarding Friction for PSP Aggregators – Anyone else seeing this?

Running into some persistent issues lately with the onboarding process when trying to integrate new merchant accounts through a couple of different PSP aggregators. It feels like the goalposts for KYB are constantly shifting, or perhaps the interpretation of what constitutes 'sufficient' documentation is just wildly inconsistent between their various compliance teams. We're providing everything they ask for, sometimes even more, and still getting stuck in these drawn-out reviews, often with requests for information that feels redundant or bordering on excessive.

It's not just the time sink, which is significant, but the impact on client relationships when you promise a swift setup and then hit these unexpected delays. We're talking established businesses, good track records, nothing even remotely high-risk. I'm curious if anyone else on here is experiencing similar friction, specifically with the aggregators rather than direct PSP integrations, and if so, have you found any workarounds or best practices to grease the wheels? It's really starting to eat into our operational efficiency and frankly, it's becoming a deciding factor in who we choose to partner with going forward. The spread/fee structure doesn't matter much if you can't get clients onboarded in a timely manner.

We've definitely seen some of that, particularly with the newer aggregators. It often feels like they're still refining their internal KYB workflows, which can lead to inconsistencies. Have you tried pushing back on specific documentation requests that seem excessive?

We've definitely seen this, particularly with certain industries. It feels like some aggregators are taking an extremely cautious stance, which then leads to a lot of back-and-forth on what feels like minor details. Have you found any particular aggregators to be smoother than others, or is it universally challenging right now?
