Anyone else finding prop firm payout infrastructure a bit... opaque?

Alright, so I've been giving a few of these prop firm challenges a go lately, and while the trading side is always an education, I'm starting to notice a recurring theme on the payout front. It's not necessarily bad, just... inconsistent, let's say. I've passed a couple of evaluations now, hitting those profit targets, but the actual process of getting funds out feels like navigating a bureaucracy that's still figuring out its own policies.

Specifically, I'm talking about the range of payment processors used, the sometimes eyebrow-raising KYC requirements after you've already proven profitability, and the sheer variance in how long funds take to hit your account. One firm boasts instant crypto payouts, which is great if you're in that ecosystem, but another will have you waiting a week for a bank wire after submitting documents that make the IRS look like a friendly neighbor. It just feels like there's a big disparity in how seriously some firms have considered their backend infrastructure once you're past the glossy front-end marketing. Anyone else experiencing this, or have any firm-agnostic insights on what drives these differences?

This is really interesting to hear. I'm just starting to look into prop firms myself, and I hadn't even thought about the payout process. What kind of inconsistencies are you seeing?
