Prop Firm Payout Reliability: The Elephant in the Room?

Alright, another Monday, another round of market analysis. But before diving deep into $EURUSD or whatever else is moving, let's talk about something a bit more fundamental for anyone serious about funding their trading: payout reliability from these prop firms.

I've seen the marketing, the promises of quick payouts, easy splits, low spreads. But the reality on the ground often feels… different. We all know the challenge phase is designed to be tough, fair enough. But once you're actually funded and consistently hitting targets, the game can change. I'm not naming names, but I've personally experienced (and heard plenty of stories about) firms that suddenly get very slow with processing withdrawals, or worse, find obscure reasons to claw back profits or suspend accounts just as a significant payout is due. It's a huge operational risk we need to factor in.

So, my question for the veterans here: how do you vet a prop firm's actual payout reliability beyond their marketing bluster? Are there any red flags you look for in their T&Cs, their actual processing times, or even their payment provider relationships? Because a firm might have great spreads and a reasonable profit share, but if getting your money out feels like pulling teeth, it negates all the effort you put in. What's your real-world experience here?

It's definitely a big concern. I've been hearing a lot of stories lately about firms changing rules or delaying payments, especially with the increased scrutiny on the industry. Has anyone had a smooth experience recently, or is it mostly just a scramble?
