New here, quick question on position sizing for new strategies

Hey everyone, just joined. I've been paper trading a new scalping strategy on $EURUSD for a bit and it looks promising, but when it comes to going live, how do you guys typically scale into a new strategy without blowing up an account while still getting enough reps in? Should I start with very small micro-lots and only increase after X number of trades or weeks of profitability?

That's a great question, and something I've been wondering about myself. It seems like finding that balance between protecting your capital and giving a new strategy a fair chance is tricky. I'm curious what others have found works best for them.

Starting with micro-lots and a defined profitability metric before scaling seems reasonable. The 'X number of trades' is often more reliable than a time-based metric for assessing strategy viability, but both have their uses.
