New here, curious about scaling positions effectively
Hey everyone, just joined. I've been paper trading for a while, starting to get the hang of basic setups, but I'm finding the jump to live trading a bit daunting when it comes to position sizing. Specifically, how do you all manage scaling into a position without drastically changing your initial risk profile, especially when you're testing an entry and might add on confirmation? Do you adjust your stop, or just reduce the size of the initial entry?

Welcome! For scaling, I usually start with a smaller size that's just a fraction of my target position. This allows me to test the waters without committing too much capital upfront. If it moves in my favor and I get confirmation, I'll add on, but always keeping an eye on the total risk.
