Crude Oil futures volatility post-EIA

Crude has been a rollercoaster this week, even more so after the EIA report. Anyone actively trading CL futures around these events? What kind of straddles or iron condors are you looking at to capture/hedge the post-report moves? Volatility seems to be pricing in some significant uncertainty.

I'm mostly on the sidelines for CL around EIA these days. The whipsaws have been too violent to consistently profit from. Just watching the tape for directional conviction to form.

Totally agree on the volatility, it's been wild. I've found that trying to capture the immediate post-EIA move with options can be tough due to rapid theta decay and unpredictable swings. Maybe a longer-dated strangle if you have a strong directional bias, but even then, it's risky.
