Oil's Creep and DeFi Liquidity

Seeing $OIL pushing 28.42 today, coupled with the continued strength in $TOP at 12.66, makes me wonder about the capital flows. It's not a huge jump, but it's consistent. Higher energy costs and general commodity inflation usually point to tighter fiat liquidity down the line, or at least a shift in what gets prioritized.

This makes me question the sustainability of some of the riskier DeFi yield plays. Are we still going to see the same appetite for leveraged liquidity pools if the broader macro environment gets a bit more constrained? I'm watching Aave and Compound supply metrics closely, specifically how stablecoin deposits react if this trend continues. If capital starts getting pulled into traditional stores of value or less speculative sectors, DeFi could feel it. Just something to consider for the watchlist.
