Fed's Stance and DeFi Yields

Watching the $USDX creep up to 25.58 today, alongside the $US30 showing minor weakness after last week's robust run, makes me reconsider my shorter-term DeFi yield plays. With the Fed commentary hinting at continued higher-for-longer, the carry trade narrative in traditional finance strengthens, which could pull some capital from riskier, more volatile DeFi yield farms. My focus is shifting to more established protocols with proven utility, less exposure to impermanent loss, and those that generate yield from actual network activity rather than just token emissions. It’s about preservation over aggressive APY chasing right now, especially as the market absorbs these macro signals.

It's a valid point about capital rotation, especially with the dollar showing strength. Are you thinking the DeFi yields themselves will drop, or more about the underlying assets losing value and eroding the yield's benefit?
