Lesson Learned: Over-leveraging on a 'sure bet' in Crypto

Thought I had $SOL figured out during that run-up last year. Had a decent feel for the general direction and saw a key support hold for the third time. Rather than sticking to my usual 2-3x leverage, I convinced myself this was the breakout trade, the one that validated everything. Went 10x with a significant chunk of my capital, believing the stop was 'too obvious' and wouldn't get hit.

Of course, it did. Price wicked down precisely to that 'obvious' stop, liquidated me, and then immediately reversed to continue the pump I had originally anticipated. It was a harsh reminder that even when you're directionally correct, managing risk and respecting your leverage limits is paramount. Confidence is good; overconfidence, especially with leverage, is just an expensive lesson.

Yeah, it's a tough lesson many of us have learned in different markets. That feeling of invincibility on a "sure bet" is so dangerous. Hope you're able to bounce back from it.
