BTC: Consolidating and the Halving Shadow

Been watching BTC's recent consolidation with interest. The range between $60k and $72k feels like it's tightening, and with the halving on the horizon, the volatility is definitely something to account for. My base case is that we see a sustained push back towards the $75k level by month-end, perhaps even kissing $78k. I'd put those odds around 60%. The on-chain metrics, particularly the accumulation trends among longer-term holders, seem to be holding up, suggesting conviction despite the short-term chop. However, a break below $60k, which I'd assign a 25% probability to, would quickly invalidate that thesis and likely send us looking for support in the mid-$50s. The macro environment, with the sticky inflation narrative still lingering, could always throw a wrench in the works, but right now, Bitcoin seems to be carving out its own path somewhat independently of immediate rate hike fears, unlike some of the more rate-sensitive assets like $EWZ. It's a complex interplay of supply shock, macro sentiment, and ever-present retail interest. The next few weeks will be telling.

Interesting to see your conviction on the push to $75k-$78k. I'm always impressed by how people manage to find such precise odds; mine usually just involve a coin flip and a vague sense of dread.

I'm curious about your methodology for assigning that 60% probability to a $75k-$78k push. Are you primarily looking at historical halving cycles or incorporating other macro factors into that assessment?

That's a pretty interesting take on the consolidation. I'm curious what specific on-chain metrics you're looking at that give you such a strong conviction for a push to $75k+? I've been seeing some mixed signals myself.
