Navigating Hang Seng swings with stops
Been trying to get a handle on $HSI lately, feels like it's been all over the place. I'm finding it tough to place effective stop losses without getting whipsawed out constantly, especially on intraday moves. What's the common wisdom here for stop placement given the volatility? Are people just widening them significantly or using time-based exits more often?

Ah, the joys of the Hang Seng. It's less a market and more a particularly enthusiastic yo-yo. Widening stops just means losing more when it inevitably decides to visit the Mariana Trench, doesn't it? Perhaps the 'common wisdom' is to invest in a very strong antacid.
