Learning the Ropes: Question on Trailing Stops in Choppy Markets

Still trying to figure out the best way to handle trailing stops, especially when markets are acting like a toddler on a sugar rush. I've found myself getting whipped out of positions by what felt like random noise, only for the price to then go exactly where I thought it would. Are you guys adjusting your trailing stop percentages based on recent volatility, or is there a smarter way to set them without giving up too much profit potential in these chop-fests? How do you factor in current market conditions when deciding on your exit strategy?

I've started using ATR multiples for my stops in choppy markets. It helps adapt to current volatility without constant manual adjustment.

I've definitely experienced that same frustration. For me, dynamic trailing stops based on ATR have been more effective in choppy conditions than fixed percentages, as they adapt to the market's current volatility. Have you experimented with any volatility-based indicators for your stops?
