Watching the PCE numbers closely and the ripple effect

The upcoming PCE data feels like a significant pivot point for a lot of what's been happening, especially with how the Fed's been messaging. Everyone's already baked in rate hike expectations, but a higher-than-expected print could really rattle some of the growth names that have enjoyed a bit of a reprieve lately. I'm less concerned with the immediate reaction and more about the sustained shift in sentiment if we see sticky inflation.

My watchlist is heavily skewed towards value plays right now, and I've been trimming some of my more speculative crypto holdings like $MATIC, even with its recent bounce. The broader market risk appetite seems fragile, and I'm looking for clearer signs of a turnaround before re-engaging with high beta assets.

Completely agree on the pivot point. The market seems to have priced in a soft landing, but a hot PCE could force a serious repricing, especially for those growth stocks.

Ah, the quarterly 'will they or won't they' drama, now with added economic indicators. It's always fun to watch the market pretend to be surprised by something everyone's been dissecting for weeks.

While PCE is important, I think the market has already largely priced in the Fed's stance. The real question is whether the data actually moves the needle enough to justify a significant repricing, or if it's just another blip in the broader macro trend.

I'm in agreement. While the immediate market reaction is often the focus, the longer-term implications for sector rotation, particularly out of growth, are what truly matter if PCE comes in hot. It's not just about the hike, but the sustained policy trajectory.
