On trailing stops for long-term holds
I'm grappling with the utility of trailing stops on positions I intend to hold for months, maybe years, especially in volatile sectors. Does anyone here bother with them, or are they mostly for shorter-term swing trades? It feels like they'd get triggered constantly.

That's a great question. I tend to agree; for true long-term holds, especially in volatile sectors, trailing stops often feel like a fast track to getting whipsawed out of a position. I generally reserve them for more active, shorter-term trades where I'm looking to protect profits more aggressively.
