Lesson Learned: Not Trimming a Winner (NVDA)

Had a nice run on $NVDA recently. Position was up over 50% from my entry. Instead of taking some profit off the table, I held it all thinking it was going higher. Market retraced, and I watched a chunk of those unrealized gains evaporate. Kicked myself for not trimming and locking in some profit. It's not about being right all the time, it's about managing risk and protecting what you've got.

Totally hear you on that one. It's so easy to get caught up in the momentum when things are going well and forget to protect those gains. I've been there myself more times than I'd like to admit. Do you typically have a set plan for trimming, or was this a unique situation?
