On/off-ramp risk for smaller merchants accepting USDC

For smaller e-commerce sites, what's the actual risk profile when settling sales directly in $USDC and then using an on/off-ramp to convert to fiat? Are the volatility risks from conversion significant enough to warrant hedging, or is it more about finding reliable, low-fee ramps?

That's a great question. For smaller merchants, the volatility risk from conversion is likely less significant than finding reliable, low-fee ramps with sufficient liquidity, especially for larger transaction volumes. Transaction fees and potential delays in settlement seem like more immediate concerns.

For smaller merchants, I'd say the volatility risk during conversion is generally minimal unless they're dealing with very large volumes or extended hold times. The bigger challenge is definitely finding reliable ramps with competitive fees and good liquidity without unexpected holds.
