Onboarding speed with new crypto rails – what's the real timeframe these days?
Running into some persistent issues lately with KYB timelines, specifically when trying to onboard new crypto payment rails. We've got our ducks in a row on our end, but it seems like every new provider we engage with has wildly different, and often protracted, timelines for getting through their due diligence process. We're talking weeks to months just to get the initial compliance checks squared away before we can even begin integration. It's bottlenecking our expansion plans.
Anyone else experiencing this, or found a way to significantly shorten these cycles? Is it the specific jurisdiction (we're primarily EU-based, with some UK/US exposure), or is it just the current state of play with crypto payments due to increased regulatory scrutiny? Trying to gauge if our expectations are off, or if there are providers out there truly optimizing this. It feels like we're constantly waiting.
That's super frustrating to hear. I'm curious if you've seen any patterns in the types of providers that are slower, or if it's really just a mixed bag across the board?
