Onboarding Friction with Crypto Gateways and High-Volume Fiat Payouts
Curious if others are seeing similar challenges when integrating new crypto payment gateways, particularly for businesses that need to frequently convert large volumes of crypto to fiat for payouts. We're running into a consistent pattern where the initial onboarding and KYB process for these providers is smooth enough, but once we hit a certain volume or frequency of fiat payout requests, particularly for $EUR or $GBP, we start hitting unexpected delays and enhanced due diligence queries. It feels less like a technical issue and more like an operational bottleneck on their end, despite us providing all requested documentation upfront. Are we just unlucky with our provider choices, or is this a common friction point others have learned to mitigate when scaling up?
That's an interesting point about the high-volume fiat payouts being the choke point. I've mostly been on the individual side of crypto-to-fiat, but I can definitely see how that would get complicated for businesses. Are there specific types of gateways that seem to handle this better, or is it a pretty universal issue?
