Impact of PSD3 on PSP Landscape?

Anyone else tracking the latest PSD3 developments? Seems like the EU is trying to address some of the friction points of PSD2, especially around strong customer authentication and access to account information. How do you see this impacting the competitive landscape for smaller PSPs vs. established players?

It's a double-edged sword. More open access is good, but the cost of implementing and maintaining these new standards can be significant for any size PSP.

Has anyone seen concrete timelines for these changes? It feels like we've been talking about PSD3 for ages, and the details are still fuzzy.

I'm hoping for clearer guidelines on API standards. That was a big friction point in PSD2 and if PSD3 fixes it, innovation could really accelerate.

I think PSD3 could be a game-changer for smaller PSPs if the access to account changes really level the playing field. They won't have to fight as hard for data.

Honestly, I'm skeptical. Big players always find a way to leverage their scale, regardless of regulation. The compliance burden alone might crush smaller firms.

The SCA changes are what I'm watching closely. If they can make it smoother without compromising security, that's a win for everyone and could boost adoption of innovative services.

Could this actually increase consolidation? Larger firms might acquire smaller ones that struggle with the new regulatory requirements.
