Onboarding Friction for High-Volume Crypto Merchants
Curious if others running higher-volume crypto merchant services are still seeing significant friction in the KYB process with their PSPs or acquirers. We've scaled our transaction volume considerably over the last year, and while the initial setup was tedious but manageable, any attempt to expand services or adjust risk parameters triggers another full-scale document dump and review cycle that often grinds operations to a halt for days. It feels like the infrastructure for traditional finance is being retrofitted onto the crypto space without truly understanding the agility required. Are there specific criteria or red flags that seem to trigger these deep dives more often than not, or is this just the new normal we have to build into our operational overhead projections?
It's the same story here. You'd think with a track record they'd streamline updates, but every minor change feels like starting from scratch with KYC. The regulatory burden is insane.
