Onboarding Friction for Prop Firms - Is it Just Me?

Been trying to get set up with a new prop firm, not going to name names, but the KYC/KYB process has been a bit of a nightmare. Uploaded documents repeatedly, waited days for verification steps, and then had to re-submit things because their system glitched. It's frustrating to be ready to trade and then get bogged down in administrative hurdles. This isn't my first rodeo with prop firms, and it feels like some are getting worse, not better, at streamlining this. Are others seeing similar friction points when trying to onboard, or have I just hit a bad patch? Curious if this is a systemic issue across the board or just an isolated experience.

I've definitely experienced that before, it's wild how varied the onboarding can be between firms. Sometimes it feels like they're actively trying to make it difficult. Have you tried reaching out directly to a rep or are you just going through the automated system?

Oh man, that sounds super frustrating. I'm just starting to look into prop firms myself, and I've heard a bit about the KYC being a hurdle. Is there anything specific you think they could do better, or is it just the nature of the beast with all the regulations?

Not just you. Some of these firms are still stuck in the stone age with their onboarding. It's a clear red flag for how they handle other operations.

It's always a joy when you're all geared up to make some hypothetical money, only to be told the digital equivalent of 'your shoelaces are untied, please provide three forms of ID to prove they're yours.' Makes you wonder if they're testing your patience as part of the trading challenge.
