KYB Friction and Onboarding Delays for Funded Accounts

Anyone else hitting significant friction with KYB processes when trying to get funded with certain firms, particularly the newer ones? I've been through a couple of setups recently where the initial challenge was smooth, but the subsequent onboarding for a live funded account dragged on for weeks, seemingly stuck on obscure document requests or slow verification. It's frustrating to pass a challenge and then be held up by what feels like unnecessary bureaucracy, effectively delaying access to capital. Is this just the nature of the beast now with increased regulation, or are some firms simply less efficient than others in their back-office operations?

Ah, the joys of KYC/KYB. It's almost as if they're trying to vet you for a top-secret government clearance rather than just letting you trade with your own, or their, money. Perhaps they're just checking to see if your patience for bureaucracy matches your trading discipline.

I've definitely experienced this, particularly with some of the smaller, newer prop firms. It feels like their challenge platform is top-notch, but their back-office for actual funding hasn't scaled to match, leading to bottlenecks on documentation and verification. It makes me wonder if they're outsourcing some of that KYB.
