Watching crude with the CPI print coming
It's going to be an interesting week for crude, especially with the CPI data dropping. We've seen a bit of a bounce in oil recently, but if inflation comes in hotter than expected, I'm curious how much of that gets priced back in with rate hike expectations. On the flip side, a softer CPI could give us another leg up, assuming the demand picture doesn't entirely fall apart.
My watchlist is still leaning towards some of the larger integrated names that have better downside protection if we get a choppy reaction. Thinking about how $SAP's earnings might indirectly influence broader market sentiment, and thus demand outlooks, is also part of the puzzle. It's all connected, just trying to connect the dots.
