Kalshi's Future and the Retail Speculator
I'm still grappling with Kalshi's long-term viability for serious retail speculators. While the regulated aspect is a huge plus, and I've seen some interesting movements, like $LDO currently trading around $0.29, it feels like the current range of contracts often funnels liquidity towards outcomes that are either too obvious or too much of a coin toss. Is it just me, or does it often feel more like entertainment than a consistent edge opportunity? Convince me otherwise.
I've had similar thoughts. The regulated environment is definitely a step in the right direction, but the contract design does sometimes feel like it pushes trades towards extremes. I wonder if more nuanced, multi-outcome contracts could improve liquidity and appeal to serious speculators.
