Kalshi for Macro vs. Micro Events

Anyone else finding Kalshi's event contracts far more compelling for broader macro events than for granular stock movements? Trying to trade $GOOGL's closing price on there just feels like a diluted version of actual options trading, and I'm not seeing the edge. Change my mind.

I'd agree on the macro point; it's a novel way to bet on big picture events without the complexity of traditional derivatives. For individual stocks, it does seem to duplicate efforts without clear advantages, especially given the liquidity differences.

I totally agree with you on that. Trading individual stock prices on Kalshi feels a bit like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole when you have dedicated options markets. The macro stuff, though, that's where I see the real unique value.
