Kalshi - Broker Choice & Liquidity for Active Traders
Anyone else finding the broker/platform choice for Kalshi events a bit... singular? It's great to have a regulated venue for prediction markets, truly. But when I'm looking at potential scaling for more active trading strategies, the current infrastructure raises some questions.
Specifically, what's everyone's experience been with getting decent fill on larger positions, especially as events near expiry? And on the flip side, for those looking to exit, is there enough liquidity on the bid/ask to not get eaten alive by spread? I've seen some contracts where the spread could swallow a small child, let alone a percentage point of profit. Are there any proprietary firms or even just different account types that offer better access or execution, or are we all generally on the same playing field here, dealing with the same underlying order book dynamics? Just trying to figure out if there's an 'optimal' way to approach the venue from an execution perspective, or if it's simply a case of working with what we've got and sizing accordingly.
