Struggling to pin down my 'edge' - how do you define yours?
Been trading for a couple of years now, mostly short-term equity swings and some $EURUSD, and I'm still feeling like I'm flailing a bit when it comes to consistently articulating why I'm taking a trade beyond just 'it looks good'. I've read all the books about finding an 'edge,' but it feels so abstract. For those of you with more experience, how did you concretely define your edge, or what's your process for even identifying it?

It's a common struggle, and for me, defining my edge came down to a very specific set of market conditions and setups where I've backtested and found a statistically significant positive expectancy. It's less about intuition and more about a repeatable, data-driven approach to entry and exit criteria within a defined volatility range. Do you have a journal where you track your wins and losses against specific criteria?
