CAD weakness despite decent oil print

Interesting to see $CADUSD at 0.72142, barely holding a gain, while oil is showing some resilience. Makes me wonder if the market is just digesting the latest employment numbers, or if there's a deeper structural issue keeping the CAD from making any significant moves. Definitely keeping an eye on whether it can hold above the 0.72 mark.

Yeah, it's a bit of a head-scratcher. I'm wondering if the recent BOC statements about potential rate cuts are still weighing more heavily than the oil strength right now. Always feels like the market looks ahead.

I've been watching that too. It definitely feels like there's more at play than just the employment numbers, almost like a risk-off sentiment hitting CAD regardless of oil. Wonder if the broader USD strength is just too much to overcome right now.
