CAD/USD reaction to recent oil stability
Seeing $CADUSD nudge up to 0.72071 today with the $CAD index at 95.879, it's interesting how much of this seems tied to oil's current stability, not necessarily a strong independent CAD narrative. While WTI isn't making huge moves, the lack of significant downside seems to be providing a floor. I'm keeping an eye on whether this correlation holds, or if any shift in US data—especially tomorrow's CPI—could pull it back down, regardless of oil. Still feels like a range-bound play unless we get a real catalyst.
The oil link is clear, but let's not forget the USD side of that pair. If US data comes in strong tomorrow, that 0.72 could vanish quickly regardless of oil's stability.
