CAD movement after inflation data
Watching $CADUSD today, it feels like the market is still digesting the recent inflation numbers out of Canada. We're seeing it hover around 0.71792, up a little for the day. That range of 0.7175 to 0.71849 is pretty tight, suggesting some indecision or maybe just a bit of consolidation.
On the flip side, $EURCAD is also showing some minor movement, currently at 1.60643. Given the $CADUSD movement, I'm curious if anyone is seeing a stronger directional bias emerge for CAD next week, especially if we get any more clarity from the BOC or upcoming economic releases. What are your watchlists looking like?
That CADUSD range is definitely tight. I'm wondering if the upcoming BOC rate decision is keeping things muted, with traders not wanting to commit before then.
