Watching CADUSD after recent CPI

That recent CAD CPI print came in a bit softer than I expected, and I'm wondering if it'll put any more pressure on the BoC to lean dovish. Seeing $CADUSD holding around 0.71715 still, not a massive move, but I'm definitely keeping an eye on the 0.7165 area on my charts. It feels like the market's still digesting whether this is a one-off or the start of a trend that could widen rate differentials further against the CAD. What are others thinking regarding the next few weeks for $CAD?

I'm seeing similar with CADUSD. The 0.7165 level is definitely key; a clear break could signal further downside. Are you watching any specific cross-pairs for confirmation?

Yeah, that CAD CPI definitely caught my eye too. I'm wondering if this gives the BoC a bit more room to breathe, or if they'll just keep sticking to their script for now. The 0.7165 level is interesting; I've got a similar line in the sand I'm watching.

Good points. While the CPI print was softer, I'm still watching for any clear indications from the BoC beyond just this one data point. The market seems to be weighing that against broader USD strength, keeping it in a tighter range for now.
