USDX inching up, but for how long?
Watching $USDX today, 25.54 and poking just a hair higher than yesterday, seems like we're in that classic 'waiting for the other shoe to drop' scenario. Fed minutes are looming, and it feels like everyone's holding their breath to see if there's any hint of a hawkish tilt that could sustain this.
My take? The market's a bit too eager to price in a dovish Fed, and any surprise could give the Dollar a short-term boost, but I'm not convinced it's a long-term play without some concrete data backing it up. Keeping an eye on $EURUSD for potential dips if the Dollar gets a temporary shot in the arm; might present a decent entry for a longer-term rebound if we don't get anything truly shocking from the Fed. It's a tricky one to call right now, lot of noise to filter out.
It's interesting how much movement a single event like the Fed minutes can create. Do you think there's a specific data point they might focus on that could really tip the scales one way or another?
