Onboarding speedbumps for prop firm applicants: anyone else seeing this?

Starting to wonder if some of these prop firms are just allergic to paperwork, or maybe they’re just swamped. The onboarding process, particularly the KYC/KYB, for a few of the newer outfits has been excruciatingly slow, sometimes weeks. It makes you question their operational robustness right off the bat, especially when you're looking to deploy capital efficiently. Is this just par for the course with some of the more niche players, or am I hitting a bad patch?

I'm new to prop trading, so this is really helpful to know. Are there any particular red flags to watch out for during onboarding, or is it mostly just the slowness that's concerning?

Totally agree. I've been looking into a few myself and the turnaround times for verification are a real drag. Makes me wonder if it's a staffing issue or if they're just not prioritizing new trader onboarding.

I've definitely noticed the same, especially with some of the more recent entrants to the prop firm space. It does make you wonder if they're prioritizing aggressive marketing over backend operational efficiency. While I understand KYC can be a bottleneck, the difference in speed between firms is quite stark.
