Update: Belize IFZA/IEC Registration Timeline

For those interested in offshore corporate structuring, particularly in Belize, I've noticed a slight but consistent increase in the timeline for IFZA/IEC registrations over the last quarter. Previously, we could reliably expect approvals within 3-4 weeks for complete applications. We're now seeing some cases extend to 5-6 weeks, primarily due to heightened due diligence requirements at the registrar level.

My advice remains: plan ahead, ensure all UBO documentation is impeccable, and anticipate potential follow-up requests. Has anyone else observed similar delays in other jurisdictions like Nevis or BVI?

Interesting. I just completed an IFZA registration last month and it sailed through in about 3.5 weeks. Maybe I got lucky, or perhaps it depends on the complexity of the UBO structure?
