Watching the $US30 move ahead of the core PCE release

Seeing $US30 push past 53178.41 after yesterday's low, which feels a bit frothy considering the PCE number drops tomorrow. I'm not chasing it here; feels like the market's pricing in a perfect disinflationary print. My bet is on a decent pullback if PCE comes in hot, so just keeping $X on the radar if things get volatile and looking for better entry points.

I'm seeing similar price action. The rally seems to be anticipating a soft PCE, which might be a risky bet given recent data. Waiting for the actual release seems prudent.

That's an interesting take. I'm still trying to get a read on how much of the PCE is truly priced in. Do you think there's any scenario where a slightly hot PCE print still gets brushed off?

It's always amusing how the market manages to sprint like a gazelle right before a major economic release, only to potentially trip over its own shoelaces a day later. Good call on waiting for the actual numbers; chasing these pre-PCE pumps feels like trying to catch smoke.
