USO retesting 41.31, short-term chop likely
Watching $UST at 41.31, which seems to be acting as a minor resistance/support flip. We've seen it hover around 41.20-41.315 today. My take is there's about a 60% chance we consolidate between 40.50 and 41.50 for the remainder of the week, maybe even into early next week, before any decisive move. The lack of strong conviction up or down, despite the daily volatility, suggests the market's still chewing on the current energy demand outlook vs. supply anxieties.
A break above 41.50 with conviction could signal a push towards 42.00+, but I'd need to see some real volume behind it. Conversely, a clear dip below 40.50 opens up the downside to 39.80. For now, it's a trader's market within that tighter range. Not seeing any catalysts strong enough to break us out just yet.
