Brokerage Review: CFD Data Feeds

When evaluating CFD brokers, I pay close attention to the quality and reliability of their data feeds. Substandard pricing, especially around news events, can invalidate an otherwise solid trading strategy. What are your top criteria for evaluating a broker's data feed for CFDs?

You hit the nail on the head. I once had a strategy blown apart by a choppy feed during a major announcement. Now, I always cross-reference their charts with a third-party provider before committing any serious capital.

Totally agree with you on data feed quality. For me, it's about consistency across multiple timeframes and avoiding those annoying spikes that seem to appear out of nowhere. What's your take on brokers that offer different feed tiers?

Good point. I'd add that transparency is key. I want to know where their data comes from and if they're using a direct market feed or an aggregated one. Any red flags for you that indicate a poor data feed?

While data feed reliability is important, I've found that execution speed and slippage around news events are often bigger factors than the feed itself. A great feed won't help if your order gets filled ten pips away from your entry.
