On-chain metrics for BTC and timing the macro

I'm still trying to get my head around how some of you integrate on-chain data with the broader macro picture for $BTC. I see the Glassnode charts, the UTXO realized price, MVRV Z-Score, etc., but then I'm also looking at DXY, bond yields, and Fed speak. Sometimes they seem to be saying different things, or at least one lags the other significantly. How do you prioritize or reconcile these seemingly conflicting signals when you're trying to figure out where BTC is in its cycle, especially for longer-term position sizing? Is there a primary indicator you lean on more heavily when things get muddled?

This is exactly what I'm struggling with too! Do you find that one type of metric, like on-chain or macro, tends to give earlier signals than the other, or is it more about validating each other?

On-chain data is backward-looking. Macro dictates liquidity, which drives price. Use on-chain to confirm trends, not to front-run macro shifts.
