On-chain vs. Macro for BTC: Are we overthinking it?

Been looking at the $BTC action lately and constantly seeing people argue the merits of on-chain metrics versus broader macro currents. It feels like there's this intense focus on things like UTXO realized price, MVRV, etc., and while I get the appeal of internal network health, I'm starting to wonder if the sheer weight of global liquidity, interest rate decisions, and even currency plays (like the $EURCAD at 1.60464 today, showing those subtle shifts) isn't ultimately the dominant driver. Are we getting lost in the weeds with some of the on-chain stuff when the larger tide of global finance is really dictating the big moves? I'm genuinely curious to hear if others feel the same or if I'm missing a critical piece of the on-chain puzzle.

The 'overthinking' starts when people try to make macro fit their on-chain bias, or vice-versa. They're both valid lenses, but they don't always align, and one often overpowers the other depending on market conditions. Acknowledging that dissonance is key.
