Thoughts on Nikkei following latest BoJ chatter
Been watching the Nikkei pretty closely after the recent BoJ commentary, especially around their stance on yield curve control. Feels like there's a growing divergence in market expectations versus what they're actually saying, and I'm wondering how that plays into foreign flows. Thinking about where the yen sits in all this, and if it could start creating some interesting entry points in specific sectors, maybe those less reliant on export strength.

I'm with you on the divergence. The market seems to be front-running a shift that the BoJ isn't explicitly signaling yet. It will be interesting to see if any increased volatility around yen pairs translates into clearer directional plays on the Nikkei, especially given the export component.
