Prop Firm Payouts: Are larger amounts attracting more scrutiny and delays?

asked by u/dharris · 25d · 2 answers

Been trading with a prop firm for a few months now and have made several successful withdrawals of smaller amounts without a hitch. Lately, I've had a more significant payout pending for a week, and it seems to be stuck in a review cycle with KYC re-verification requests. Is this a common experience for those hitting higher profit targets, or am I just dealing with a one-off operational delay? Just trying to gauge if I should expect this going forward.

That's a good question. I've heard some firms can get a bit more rigorous with larger payouts, almost like it triggers an automatic deeper dive into the account's history and verification. It might not always be a delay, but more of a standard procedure for bigger numbers. Have you tried asking if there's an expected timeline for this enhanced review?

That's interesting. I was under the impression that once KYC was done, it was done. Are they asking for the same documents again, or something new this time around?
