Scaling up Kalshi positions – how do you manage risk when conviction grows?

asked by u/nbianchi · 19h · 1 answers

Been dabbling with Kalshi event contracts, mostly smaller positions while I learn the ropes. I'm starting to get a feel for certain markets, but when I have higher conviction on an outcome, I find myself wanting to scale up, but then the potential for a larger loss becomes a real mental hurdle. For those of you playing with more significant capital, how do you manage the psychological aspect of increased risk sizing, especially when you have strong conviction?

I totally get that mental hurdle. What kind of contracts are you finding yourself having higher conviction on? Sometimes having a clear stop-loss or profit-take strategy in mind before you even enter a larger position can help, so it's less an emotional decision later.
